Smile

A smile, it's widely assumed, is a simple throw-away thing. The casual request 'give us a smile' makes the act sound effortless and unconditional. Realistically, however, people are a little more complex than this. In April 2008 I decided to see whether a whole block of council housing could physically smile using its windows. This broadsheet documents the project and its results.
